How We Help

Helping You Discover and Travel Your Own Parent Path Towards Health and Growth

Parent coaching is a personalized change process that takes place within a co-constructive relationship between parent and coach, using the parent’s current strengths and resources to develop positive growth. A parent coach helps a parent determine what dreams and priorities she has for her family, and then helps construct practical action steps to move toward what she wants.

Coaching is not a quick fix; it’s not pat answers, one size fits all. It is personalized for each unique parent, for each one-of-a-kind family. While a parent coach may offer relevant information and expertise, coaching is a process that requires commitment and whole-hearted participation by both parent and coach.

Coaching usually takes place over the course of 8 to 12 weeks, via weekly, hour-long phone or Zoom call, or in person if located in the Tulsa, OK area.

Individual Coaching

The key to individual coaching is that it is personalized. So, while there are best practices, we can always adjust the schedule and plan to meet your needs. We’ll begin with a free 30-minute consultation to learn more about what brings you to coaching, and I’ll explain the coaching process. Once we determine that we’re a good fit, I’ll send an intake form for you to fill out and return before our first session. Our coaching journey involves diving into your parenting challenges and exploring your situation, finding the good present in your family system as well as yourself, determining what your dream is for your family, and then finding practical ways to move toward that. All the while, I offer empathy, clarity, encouragement, insight and accountability.

Couples Coaching

Coaching parents as a couple follows the same trajectory as individual coaching, but usually in 8 90-minute sessions. Exploring your shared vision for your family as a couple gets you on the same page, moving toward what you both want for your family together. This facilitates a unified and bonded front, and encourages open communication. We will focus on who you are as parents, not as a married couple, and stay out of a “marriage counseling” situation as I hold space for both of you.

Parent Path Pods

I strongly believe in the power of group support for individual growth and transformation. If you would like to join a group of 4-6 parents who share a common goal or similar concerns, I would love to facilitate pod sessions to move together into a beautiful change process. These group meetings take place within 8 sessions via Zoom.
